Day 1

BAGDOGRA - RUMTEK (1750 MTS/125 KMS/4-5 HRS)

Day 2

RUMTEK - GANGTOK – RUMTEK

After breakfast, visit the famous Rumtek Monastery; one of the largest monastery in Sikkim whose architectural brilliance resembles the original one in Tsurphu, Tibet. The monastery belongs to the Kargyu sect of Buddhists, originated in the 12th century in Tibet. It is also called the Dharmachakracentre. Also visit the Shri Nalanda Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies placed adjacent to the Monastery. Come back to the hotel for lunch. After a brief rest, leave for sightseeing in Gangtok. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

RUMTEK - LACHUNG (2750 MTS/124 KMS/4.5 HRS)

In the morning after breakfast, hop on the jeep and start for North Sikkim. The journey make its way through small villages gifted with green fields and serene valleys, after you cross Gangtok. After passing the dense forest of KabiLungchok, witness the gorgeous views of Mt. Kanchenjunga in the backdrop of petit villages of Mangan & Singhik. Also get acquainted with the local of Grab your lunch at Chungthang, a quaint village sprawled at the confluence of Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu. By afternoon, you will reach Lachung. Check-in to the Hotel and rest for a while. Later, use your time to get acquainted with the locals and explore the beauty of the village. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 4

LACHUNG - YUMTHUNG - LACHUNG (24 KMS/1.5 HRS EACH)

Early morning, leave for the beautiful valley of flower - Yumthang, lying at an altitude of 3600 m. The drive from Lachung to Yumthang offers the mesmerising views of the meadows of Rhododendron and different varieties of Orchids, with colorful yaks grazing the green fields. The spectacular snow covered mountains in the background is awe-inspiring that leads you to your next destination - Zero Point. Drive back to Lachung to have lunch. After a little rest, go for a long walk to the village. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 5

LACHUNG - KEWZING (135 KMS/7 HRS)

After breakfast, leave for Rabum to visit the Angora rabbit farm. In India, there are only two such farms, one lies in Kullu. After spending time with the rabbits, spend your time to shop the 100% pure Angora products. Resume your ride towards Ravangla district in South Sikkim, that takes you through the way rich with the views of charming valleys and quiet villages. After crossing beautiful Ravangla, reach Kewzing village; perched at an altitude of 1700 m, overlooking the Ranjit River, is a village blessed with nature’s bounties. The serene valleys making their way through the magnificent Mt Narsing& Mt Karbu is a sight to behold. Here, you can indulge into long nature walks, bird watching, tasting the traditional food made by the warm and friendly locals, along with of course their traditional Chaang. Overnight stay at the Homestay.

Day 6

KEWZING

In the morning, leave for a tiny tour around the farm and mingle with the villagers. Enjoy the refreshing nature walk to the Doling Monastery- perched on a tiny hillock, which is reached after walking on the track passing through the thick green forest. The monastery follows the Nyingmapa sect; the one of the oldest sects of Buddhism. Being placed on an elevated ground, the monastery provides the spectacular views of the mountains, valleys and rivers. Unpack your lunch served at the Doling Monastery. After lunch, start with the hiking to Mt. Narsing village. And those who want to avoid that, can instead make a visit to the charming Temi Tea Gardens, riding on a vehicle. Overnight stay at the Homestay.

Day 7

KEWZING- BAGDOGRA (140 KMS/6 HRS)

After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly Station to board your flight / train, to carry on with your further destination.
